This season we’re international!

As the only Swiss-Brazilian in the league, it felt only right to bring some cultural flair to this week’s recap. I’m publishing this week’s writeups in four flavors: Swiss German, German, Portuguese, and English.

Swiss German: Die höchsti Punktzahl

Und de cheib Davante Adams het eus zeigt, dass meh ihm immerno vertroue chan (zumindest i de Redzone). Mit 3 TDs het er de Jaguars die zweitbesti Performance im Wembley Stadion geh, grad nach de Messi-Show im Champions-League-Final 2011 gege Man United (Ihr söttet alli mol sini Highlights luege!).

German: Die Grösste Punktedi erenz

Die grösste Punktedi erenz gab es zwischen Freakofnature und den Southport Skegs. Freakofnature, der im richtigen Moment auf Patrick Mahomes gesetzt hat, genau jetzt, wo er seinen MVP-Lauf startet, zeigte wieder, warum er gefährlich ist. Mit 3 TDs und 286 Yards hat er (zusammen mit seiner Defense) den Raiders regelrecht die Seele geraubt. Auch Rashee Rice feierte sein Comeback, neben seiner Karriere als professioneller Autobahn-Rallyfahrer widmet er sich o enbar wieder seiner zweiten Karriere als Wide Receiver. Seine 23.2 Punkte taten richtig gut.

Die Southport Skegs hatten eigentlich ein solides Team vor dem Spieltag, wurden aber bitter enttäuscht, ähnlich wie Liverpool von ihrem 125 Millionen Mann Florian Wirtz (der mittlerweile 0/0/10 ist lol).

Portuguese: O jogo mais pegado

O jogo mais pegado da semana foi entre Fighting Methodists e The Los Angeles ICE-melters, separados por só 0.1 ponto! (Tem que dar uma olhada nos registros pra ver se esse foi o jogo mais parelho da história da liga).

Os ICE-melters já deviam ter dado tudo como perdido quando Mike Evans saiu machucado e acabou a temporada pra ele. Mas aí o kicker dos Fighting Methodists, Chase McLaughlin, não conseguiu fazer mais que 5 pontinhos no mesmo jogo… e com isso os ICE-melters levaram esse thriller por um fio, e puderam dormir tranquilos depois dessa.

English: The Biggest Busts and Winners

Among the best finds we count Bo Nix, who was picked by only one team (ME). He put up 39.96 points against the Giants, got the W with 33 points in the 4th quarter, a game-winning field goal, and straight-up snatched the soul out of New York.

One of the biggest busts of the week has to be Jerry Jeudy, four teams put their faith in him, only to get disappointed. At this point, starting Jeudy feels like donating points to your opponent with his performances so far.
